Convert animated GIFs to animated ASCII

ASCII Animator is a free, fun software that can convert an animated GIF image to an animated ASCII GIF image. ASCII Animator extracts GIF image into frames, then converts each frames to ASCII art, and encodes the ASCII art into a new animated ASCII art GIF image. The user gets to choose the font and the number of characters in every 100 pixel width. This allows you to control the resolution of the resulting ASCII image.

Here are some examples. I used the default setting of 50 characters. If I had used 100 characters, every pixel of the image would have been mapped to one character in the ASCII image giving me the best possible resolution. But this makes the file size larger.

You can use them in forum avatars or as profile image or create them just for fun. I wish the program had retained the color in the ASCII image. That would have made it better.

ASCII Animator needs Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later run.
