Free One Month Hulu Plus And Other Offers With Internet Explorer 9

Microsoft has partnered with several websites and web services, among which is Hulu, to bring exciting offers in order to promote their latest browser Internet Explorer 9.

Hulu is a popular on-demand video streaming service that lets you watch TV shows and full length movies for free. The Hulu Plus service offers a wider collection of shows and also lets you stream videos to devices other than your browser.

hulu_thumbWith Internet Explorer 9, Microsoft has announced one month subscription to Hulu Plus. All users have to do is drag Hulu’s favicon from the browser’s address bar to Windows 7’s taskbar to pin the site. Then access the free subscription offer from the pinned site’s jumplist.

The offer will become available starting March 28th.

Similar offers are available from other companies. For instance, those who pin Groupon to the taskbar and use the jumplist will receive $5 to use towards any future Groupon purchase. Groupon’s jumplist is particularly useful. It lists all nearby Groupon deals right on the jumplist.

Members who pin Gilt to their Windows task bar and make a $250+ purchase from the Gilt dynamic Jump List will receive a free Xbox 360 4GB Standard Console, Samsung Focus with Windows Phone 7, or Xbox 360 Kinect 4GB Console Bundle.

Honestly, IE9 is a fine piece of software - arguably one of the better browsers available today and definitely one of the best to have come from Microsoft. Microsoft shouldn’t have to try hard wooing users to adopt IE9.
