Perfect365: Free Automated Photo Retouching Software

Whatever your opinion might be on over-the-top airbrushed and Photoshopped images of glamour models on magazine covers, there are times you wish you could do some airbrushing on your own photographs. ArcSoft has just released an application called Perfect365 that makes this possible. Without speeding a dime on professional image makeover services or software, anybody who is willing to spend a few minutes can achieve similar results.

Perfect365 isn’t your traditional photo editor. There are no brushes or pens; instead, there are options that does specific actions like ‘remove blemishes’, ‘soften skin’, ‘remove circles’, ‘slim face’, ‘enhance nose’ etc. The software automatically detects faces in the images and then tries to detect the contours of the face and outline of the eyes and mount. You may have to guide the program on this by placing markers at appropriate locations. But after that everything is automatic. Lift cheeks, brighten teeth, widen smile and do a bunch of other makeovers. You can add makeup, such as lipsticks, eyeliners etc. of different shades and color. There are also several one-click templates that allows you to make instant cosmetic changes.

Perfect365 is free, but here is the catch: it can only save images with a maximum resolution of 600x600, which is pretty poor, actually. For higher resolution photos, you’ll have to pay $29.99 for the premium Windows version.

A similar software is Portrait Professional, but it isn’t free.
